The moment we were created, the moment we came into being, we received a Divine Proposal from the Unlimited Source of our life to take care of us for all our life, here and hereafter. We were offered a life filled with abundant good—health, happiness, loving relationships, financial ease, and creative fulfillment—while we embarked upon this human adventure of spiritual self-discovery.
We’ve never had to learn the hard way, that has been by choice. All we’ve ever needed to do is accept the proposal and say “Yes” to our Oneness with the Unlimited Provider of all Good that has promised (since beginning) to take care of us. The master teacher, Mooji, wrote: “The greatest step towards a life of happiness and simplicity is to let go. Trust in the power that is already taking care of you spontaneously without effort.” No need to struggle to get our good, no need to steal it, no need to charm anyone else to get it, no need to go without to save up for it, and no need to budget to make it last. Whatever we want, we’ve got it. Whatever we need, we’ve got it. And all that’s required of us is to trust that’s true and say “yes” to receiving it.

Unlike the human tendency to hesitate, procrastinate and vegetate while simply talking about the good life we want someday, the Universe isn’t all talk and no action. If fact, It is all action that doesn’t require words because Its living Energy speaks in frequencies. It responds to our frequencies, i.e., to the vibration of the “tune” our mind and emotions are playing in any moment. There is music in the flow of Life the runs deep in our soul that we can effortlessly tune into because It is eternally playing our song. The only seeming effort there is in our living a life of abundance, positivity and peace is the effort we put into it, because we are free to hum along with Life’s Joyous song our whole life. That doesn’t mean things we don’t want don’t happen in our life sometimes. It means that no matter what happens, that song of Joy is there in our soul to let us know everything is alright.

If Eddie Watkins Jr. would have put the lyrics of “Yes! Yes! Yes!” to a tune that was somber, or a melody and rhythm of sadness, it wouldn’t have uplifted us or moved us want to dance. But his happy, positive words matched his happy, positive tune. That is why we talk so much about singing a happy tune because then when we’re out of tune, we notice, and it is easier for us to “retune” our self to a frequency of happiness. The vibration of Joy we emit is an affirmation to the Universe that we trust that life is good for us and to us no matter what.

We’ve all heard stories about people who have won lottery and done wonderful things with their abundance, and we’ve all heard stories about people who have won lottery and lost it all. Every one of those people likely said “I’m winner!” when they won, but not all of them believed that to be true of themselves. When something good comes into our physical experience, if our mental frequency is playing a “this is too good to be true” tune, then whatever that something good is will be too good to last. Our good will be so short-lived, we’ll hardly have had time to enjoy it before we hear that familiar “somebody done me wrong” song playing within us again.

Unless we’re tuned into the Divine Provider within us, unless we’re tapped in to the Truth of who we are even while we’re having this human exp, unless we’re vibrationally saying “Yes” to being blessed, and we feel the Truth of an affirmation as our Truth, our affirmations are powerless. We all want to believe it is our Father’s good pleasure to give us the Kingdom, that we are a Child of God, and that we’re loved by a Universe that conspires to bring us all we desire in life. But often when comes to affirmative our prayers and statements, we’re like the man we read about in the Book of Mark who brought his mentally and physically disabled son to Jesus and asked Jesus to heal his son if he could. When Jesus said to the man, “Everything is possible for one who believes,” the man said, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” We’ve got to believe before we can receive.

Author, Veronika Tugaleva, wrote: “No river holds a grudge against a rock in its path. No leaf refuses to blow in the breeze. We must learn to turn our minds towards the peace and love that we are flowing within at any given moment.” So often we get in the way of the flow of Good to us with feelings of not deserving it. We emit a tune that matches the sad frequency unworthiness, and when we do all the affirmations in the world can’t lift us to a higher.  When our words don’t match our tune, no matter how positive our words may be, we’re mentally and emotionally saying “No” to flow of Life that is naturally Good to us. We need to match our affirmations for Good with a happy tune that feels good, a frequency that uplifts us to the holy vibrations of the Good we are flowing within at any given moment.

When we’re tuned into the Joyous Song of the Universe, we’re tuned into the frequency of our Divine Provider. Abraham-Hicks tells us, “Unless you are in the receiving mode, your questions even though they have been answered will seem unanswered to you; your prayers will not seem to be answered; and your desires will not seem to be fulfilled—not because your wishes have not been heard, but because your vibrations are not a match so you are not letting them in.” We’d all like to say “Yes” (and mean it), but if we don’t trust in our Divine Nature and our own Divinity, we’ll effort to become good enough, worthy enough, and spiritual enough to receive our good—when all the while we are the good we’re trying to become. It is only as we answer as the powerful spiritual being we are, and say “Yes” to the Source within us as one who is One with the Source, that we open to the abundance that is there for us.

Even though we don’t appear to be, we must trust that we are a holy being created by God’s Love, living in a Universe that loves us and is willing to bring every good thing to us and everyone else. Then we’re open to receiving the Good that is promised to all of God’s creation, to the Christ that is within all Life, to the Divine Self we are flowing within at any given moment. We read in the Book of 2 Corinthians, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.” When we accept that “Yes” is always Love’s Answer to us, when something seems to go wrong for us we know that something better is on the way. We no longer wonder if our prayers are being heard. We don’t post the same affirmations on our mirror over and over again hoping there is magic in repetition. And we no longer believe that anything is too good to be true for us. We trust that right where we are God is fulfilling His promises to us and is taking care of us spontaneously without effort on our part.

When we hold it in our heart that Life is always good to us, we’re in receiving mode, and our good is never far away because it is always on the way. Everything we want is flowing to us, and all we need to do is let it in by letting go of our efforting to make our good happen, and tune in instead to the vibrations of abundance where our good already is. It is all there, we just need to decide that’s where we want to be mentally, emotionally and spiritually. When we trust that’s true, there is no other place in our mind and heart we want to be. We naturally sing a happy tune that matches our affirmative words, and the door to our life is wide open to the Good Life. When we’re in receiving mode our affirmations are powerful indeed and all manner of Good comes to us.
