Christ’s birth on Earth, and the power of living as Christ on Earth, is possible through each of us. Mystics and sages tell us that is why we came into this human experience. We are here to realize the divinity within us and then express It through our life on Earth. We are here for one another, to show each other what we’re made of, and to demonstrate what we’ve got going on within us. The poet, Rumi, wrote, “We carry inside us the wonders we seek outside us.”
As Jesus walked through this world he gave God all the glory for his life—for always hearing his prayers and for every miracle that occurred in his Presence. He said, “I of myself can do nothing. It is the Father within that does the work.” The Christmas story and the life of Christ Jesus is about a Father and Son performing as One. When the credits rolled out, Jesus gave the God within him star billing. He was aware that God the Father and His Perfect Son performed through him. He said, “Timeless truth I tell you: For whatever the Father does, the Son does like Him.”
God’s One Perfect Creation, forever like Him and One with Him, is the Christ that arrived on Earth through the birth and life of Jesus. Jesus never forgot where he came from or the Origin of the Power that came through him. In return for his life, Jesus gave God all the glory he was given by God to give. Jesus made it clear throughout his life that it was his awareness of his oneness with God—the One Creator, the Divine Animator, the Source of his Life—that brought about miracles. He knew that there was not, because there could not be, a separation between the Father and Son, between the Creator and Creation, between Love and the Beloved.
Jesus knew who he was, and it was that knowing that allowed him to see the flawless world of God’s creation, a world without sickness, sin, sorrow, or death. He experienced a Universe alive with Life, Itself, and Beloved by Love, Itself. He knew the difference between what appeared to be and reality. The Light of Christ filled his mind so completely he knew the unreality of anything or anyone that appeared to be less than the holy expression of God’s creation. We read in A Course in Miracles, “Is he the Christ? O yes, along with you. And when you join your will with his, your sight will be his vision for the eyes of Christ are shared.” From his High Holy Perception of Life Jesus saw through the eyes of Christ. And, because he did, those around him experienced healings. They saw themselves, if only for one healing moment, as he saw them because the eyes of Christ are shared. When we deny our oneness with God, we’re not being humble, we are blind. We don’t see that we could not exist without the Christ in us and our Creator’s Love for us. Not one of us could live however we live, or move however we move, or have our being no matter who we believe we’re being, separate from the Divine Source of Life that gives Life to all.
Young woman I know has a 5-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Her daughter walked into their living room the other day, and said out of the blue, “I’m so proud of God.” The young woman was taken aback by her daughter’s words since, as she put it, she hadn’t had a God-talk with her children yet. So she asked her daughter, “Why are you proud of God?” The little girl said, “Just look at what He’s done! He created a whole world!” That child was way beyond a God-talk. She could see God in action, the works of God in the world around her. Maybe that is what Jesus meant when he said, “Unless you become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.” A child’s mind isn’t cluttered (yet) by judgments, opinions, and adult points of view. Children know they don’t know everything. They are open to life and ready to embrace all the possibilities for living their life. They haven’t forgotten (yet) where they came from, and they are quite willing to give God all the glory for where they are.
How often do we walk through our day being “proud” of God and all God has created, including our self. How often are we in awe that we are here at all? How often do we look at all the possibilities for living our life and stay open to expressing our self with happiness and fun? If we are not giving Glory in the Highest to God for all that is, who are we giving power to? Do we believe that anyone, including our self, has the power to make real and permanent anything that God would not? There’s a Zen proverb that says, “Man stands in his own shadow and wonders why it’s dark.” No one can stand in our way and cast a shadow on our life, but we, our self. No one has the power to put our light out ,but us. No one can make us feel what we don’t choose to feel, and no one is responsible for our choice to feel what we feel. Jesus didn’t wait for the behaviors of others to change before he chose a Mind uncluttered by judgment. He knew that everyone he saw was an expression of Christ on Earth, God’s perfect son, even when they were standing in their own shadow. People were healed by the Powerful, Clear Energy that the Mind of Jesus emitted. What energy do our thoughts emit? Do those around us feel better about themselves, loved and unjudged just as they are? In The Science of Mind we read, “If we could stand aside and let the One Perfect Life flow through us, we could not help healing people. This is the highest form of healing.”
In our world today that appears so divided, conflicted and unkind, judgement of our self and others seems natural. Everybody does it! We might say that it’s as much a part of this separate human experience as breathing. So, isn’t it interesting that part of what we’ve collectively brought upon our world through our practices of judging one another is a sickness that requires us to wear masks that, while protecting us from each other, make it so much harder to breathe? Many spiritual visionaries believe this world situation has created among humanity such an inner desire for change that it has opened a High Energy Portal of Unconditional Love, a vortex of the Mind aglow with the Light of Christ. It’s the Mind that was in Christ Jesus, and It’s available to all of us. But, It is only reachable if we leave our judgements behind so that we can resonate with Its High Vibration of Love.
If we’ve been looking for sign that now is the perfect time for the second coming of Christ on Earth through us, on December 21st, coinciding with the winter solstice, Jupiter and Saturn, the largest planets in our solar system, will be perfectly aligned for the first time in 800 years. The alignment will be so precise that the two planets will appear as One Bright Star. This rare, extraordinarily vibrant planetary conjunction will be so bright it will be visible to most of world. Its occurrence has been called “The Christmas Star” for over 2,000 years. Astrologically speaking, Jupiter is associated with the principles of growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles. That surely sounds like the beautiful collective desire for change the world has been calling for, doesn’t it? Saturn is associated with the higher Chakras, specifically the 6th Chakra, guiding us to one of the highest levels on our path of spiritual evolution.
This is Wow Time! Something extraordinary is occurring within the collective Energy we share. Are we ready to align with our inner being so precisely that our inner and outer expression appear as One Bright Light? Are we ready to give the Christ within us birth on Earth through our hearts and minds so that growth, expansion, healing, prosperity, good fortune, and miracles can come through us? It’s why we are here, to realize the shining divinity within us and shine It on all the world. We’re here for one another, to show each other what we’re made of, and to demonstrate what we’ve got going on within us.
Paulo Coelho, the author of The Alchemist, wrote, “We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of Infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity.” We are all children of the Cosmos, Rulers of the skies. When we realize the Cosmic Beings we are, we’ll look at each other with stars in our eyes, and we’ll see the amazing miracle God has created as us…and we’ll be “so proud” of Him! We’ll know that God the Father and His perfect Son are performing as One through us, and in that knowing we will be giving God all the glory we’ve been given by God to give.
